Blaine Business Strategy

Blaine Pharmaceuticals distinguishes itself by its Pharmaceutical Grade® quality products, which indicates that Blaine's products are manufactured to rigorous standards, exceeding requirements set for supplements, including cGMP manufacturing practices. We hold ourselves to similar standards of prescription products, even though it is not a requirement. 

In 2006, Blaine began to venture outside the magnesium category by introducing the DiaSenseTM line of products. This family of products was developed to address the needs of people with diabetes and pre-diabetes. DiaSenseTM products are formulated to improve the health and well-being of people dealing with the impact of diabetes. 

The DiaSenseTM line is the first of many Blaine products to be introduced over the counter. This is a different approach from the past, due to Blaine products being stored primarily behind the counter at the pharmacy. To support the over the counter efforts, a dedicated sales force has been established to manage retailer and wholesaler relationships and needs.    

Blaine understands the importance of building and sustaining relationships with healthcare professionals and their patients.  Blaine primarily markets its products through healthcare professionals for their advocacy and product credibility. However, it is necessary to effectively reach out to consumers in a targeted manner to enhance awareness of Blaine products and their associated and collaborative benefits. 

While this is a relatively new direction for Blaine, moving its products over the counter with the support of healthcare professionals has proven to be a successful strategy. This is evident, as Mag-Ox 400® is the fastest growing magnesium brand in all drug retailers while maintaining its #1 doctor recommended status. 

Blaine will continue to identify other product line opportunities through clinical research, product development and in-licensing ventures.
