RELIADOSE® WINS 2007 NACDS PRODUCT SHOWCASE AWARD
Cincinnati,OH July 2, 2007-Blaine Pharmaceuticals was honored last week with a "Best of the Best" NACDS Product Showcase Award for ReliaDose®, a revolutionary medicine delivery system for babies. The National Association of Chain Drug Stores (NACDS) recognizesproducts that have the most exciting and fresh merchandising possibilities at its annual Marketplace Conference. This year, Blaine was one of 11 winning products out of 300 products submitted. ReliaDose received top honors in the "Baby Care" category.
This is the second national honor awarded to ReliaDose by a major industry organization since it launched in April. Earlier this year, it received the Innovation Award from the Juvenile Products Manufacturers Association (JPMA) that highlights the most exciting and new products in the marketplace.
ReliaDose, which was invented by a mom from Cincinnati, is specifically designed to work with a child's natural desire to feed while ensuring complete, easy, and gentle dosing of over-the-counter and prescribed liquid medication, as well as providing liquid vitamin and mineral supplementation. ReliaDose features a patented medicine delivery system that includes a dual-chamber nipple, bottle, and syringe that work together to mask the taste of medicine while ensuring safe, accurate dosing every time.
The NACDS Marketplace Conference is the largest and most powerful convergence of drug, food, mass, club, and value retailing in the United States. It brings together more than 200 retail companies representing over 130,000 stores with 700 manufacturing companies. More than 300 products were submitted for this year's Product Showcase Awards, but only 11 are selected as category winners.
"The appeal of ReliaDose to parents is that it takes the guesswork and frustration out of giving medicine to their babies," said Dreama Kirby, chief marketing officer, Blaine Pharmaceuticals. "With ReliaDose, parents can feel confident that their kids are receiving the right amount of medicine so that they can feel better soon."
ReliaDose is now available at more than 1,300 Kroger grocery stores nationwide, as well as at Kerr Drug, Fruth Pharmacies, and select H.E.B. Food Stores. It is also available at CVS.com and numerous other websites. Wal-Mart, Rite Aid, and select Target stores will begin selling ReliaDose in August, and numerous regional chains have also committed to distribution in the coming months. By early fall, ReliaDose will be available in over 16,000 retail locations throughout the U.S. and Canada.
