Moreland and Mary Logan Blaine founded Blaine Pharmaceuticals
in October 1955. Moreland, the son of a country doctor in the Northern
Kentucky area, developed product and traveled the region providing
educational materials for physicians and other health care professionals.
Mary Logan, meanwhile, cared for their six children and managed
the office.
Over the years, the Blaine name became synonymous with hard work,
honesty, and genuine care for patient health. An early believer
in magnesiums critical role in heart health, Blaine Pharmaceuticals
invested heavily to develop a top-quality magnesium supplement that
helped patients meet the U.S. Recommended Daily Allowance for magnesium
in one convenient and affordable tablet. The product, Blaine MAG-OX
400, became an instant favorite among physicians and patients.
In 1986, the second generation of Blaine family members took the
helm and re-energized the company with a new level of focus, spirit,
and discipline. Leveraging the reputation of Blaine within the medical
community, Alex Blaine and his sisters, Myra Yates, Sue Wehrman,
Judy Schulze and Molly Miller, proudly continue the legacy of their
parents through research, product development, and educational efforts
for the medical community.
