Tony Schott, VP of Sales, Takes Blaine Pharmaceuticals in a New Direction
Blaine Pharmaceuticals is pleased to announce the addition of Tony Schott to its management team as Vice President of Sales. In his position, Mr. Schott will concentrate on gaining distribution with retailers to position Blaine Mag-Ox 400®, the #1 doctor recommended magnesium supplement on the market, within the vitamin/mineral section. Mr. Schott will be instrumental in evaluating and adding innovative over-the-counter products to complement the existing Blaine product portfolio.
Previously, Mr. Schott served as Vice President of Retail Sales for Omron, the worldwide leader of blood pressure monitors, thermometry, weight management, and respiratory products. At Omron, Mr. Schott successfully developed an outstanding sales force capable of responding to rapid growth, expansion of existing product categories, and new product initiatives. At Blaine, he has similar plans in order to expand the existing product category and new product initiatives. Prior to Omron, Mr. Schott worked with Roche Diagnostics, a worldwide leader in diabetes management and heart health products.
Blaine has already gained over-the-counter distribution in over 25,000 locations, including Albertsons, Walgreens, CVS/pharmacy, RiteAid, Kroger, and other fine retailers. This move represents one of the first steps in a bold, new sales and marketing strategy for the company - which had traditionally marketed the supplement directly to physicians and pharmacists - and for the product, which had previously been sold behind the counter, even though no prescription was required.
